  • Carlo Musso (1907 - 1968), gracious chalk on paper by the Turinese artist. Signed on the lower right, dating back to the 1940s.   Born on September 7th 1907 and dead on September 25th 1968 in Turin. He attended the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts along with the masters Luigi Onetti, Cesare Ferro and later on with Guido di Montezemolo. This last artist was his companion with whom he had learned to dig into the true soul of the Piedmontese landscapes, pictorically describing it with a deep sense of lyricism. He participated in the main Italian group exhibitions: Circolo degli Artisti, Arbarello prize with the work 'Ponte sulla Dora' (1946); CAI Award, silver medal with 'Preludio di tormenta' (1947); Black and White exhibition, medal of silver San Paolo with Strada del fortino (1952); City of Chieri competition, first prize with "the Duomo, evening" (1953); International Self-portrait Exhibition, silver medal (1956); Circolo degli Artisti of Turin, Follini prize with "Porto di Savonasotto la neve" (1958); Alessandria Commerce Award, first prize with "Casale Market" (1962); Pragelato Narcisi in fiore competition, first prize (1966); Exhibition of Floral compositions at Valentino, gold medal ( 1966); City of Cumiana painting exhibition, first prize and gold medal with "Autumn in Val di Susa" (1966) He has set up personal exhibitions in various Italian cities.   Measurements: W 35 x H 22,5

The Madonna Odigitria, Odighítria, or even Odegétria (from the Byzantine Greek Oδηγήτρια, the one who leads), otherwise also known as Madonna dell'Itria, is a type of Christian iconography widespread in particular in Byzantine and Russian art of the medieval period. The iconography consists of the Madonna holding the Child Jesus, seated in a blessing act, holding a rolled parchment in her hand and which the Virgin indicates with her right hand.

He abandoned the paintbrush and took up the mestichino (small spatula) with which, by throwing the colours in masses onto the canvas, without spreading them, he obtained greater brilliance. His works are included in collections in the United States, Brazil, Switzerland, France, Germany and Belgium. His exhibition in New York was very successful.   • Wooden icon painted in oil depicting Saint Stiliano of Paflagonia, patron saint of children. Stiliano mainly looked after children, not only those physically afflicted but also those who needed spiritual guidance. It is said that families from all walks of life entrusted the illumination of their children to Stiliano to such an extent that he was forced to look for a larger home and to recruit the assistance needed to take care of so many of his hermit friends . His was probably the first kindergarten in the world, where mothers could safely leave their children to devote themselves to other household chores. Stiliano also became the patron saint of unborn children, following the miraculous intercession for a young woman who had helped him with the children, who could not have had one. When the woman gave birth to her child, her husband, mad with joy, spread the news of the miracle across the country, and so, numerous sterile women went to the hermit saint. Those whose faith in Jesus Christ was sincere became fertile.

  • George Lilanga (Kikwetu, 1934 - Dar es Salaam, 2005) was a Tanzanian painter and sculptor. Trained at the pictorial school of tingatinga in Dar es Salaam, he is also known internationally for his peculiar pictorial style, characterized by brightly colored figures and sharp, highly dynamic and caricatured contours. The work is in excellent condition in a frame with glass, below the author's signature and on the back an inscription in Swaili language.   • "Portrait of an old woman" - Oil on panel by Filippo Omegna (1881-1948).  Signed and dated on the lower right corner. Born in Turin on 11 March 1881, died in Montaldo di Mondovì on 1 September 1948. He was among the best pupils of Giacomo Grosso, from whom he was appointed while very young as teacher of nude and costume history at the Academy Albertina of Turin. Full Professor of Figure, in the same Academy, from 1932 until his death.

  • Work by Gianni Bertini (Pisa 1922 - Caen 2010). Italian artist active in the field of painting, graphics and visual poetry. He was the founder of Mec-Art. The work is a plastic fusion and is part of the Antologica collection. Dated 16 November 1966 and signed by the artist on the back. It also bears the inscription "1st status". In perfect condition.   • Watercolour on paper by Giulio Falzoni, signed on the lower right. Giulio Falzoni (Marmirolo, June 1st 1900 - Milano, 1978). In his youth he studied music and painting, specifically dedicating his work and research towards mural painting. In 1915 he started studying drawing in Mantova and the following year he worked as decorator. From 1928 to 1943 he stayed in Florence, where he attended the Academy of Fine Arts and developped his artistic skills under the lead of Plinio Nomellini. He started to stand out from his contemporary colleagues thanks to his watercolour technique, mastering it in London at the Royal Watercolour Society in the end of the 1940s. His first solo exhibition was set up in 1939 in Mantova, then Florence, Padova, Prato, Neaples, Venice and Milan followed. Some of his exhibitions have taken place in the United States of America, United Kingdom, France and Switzerland. Several prestigious collections see his works as their part, as for instance the Galleria degli Uffizi and Musei Capitolini. Measurements: In frame H56 x W49,5 x D4,5 // H32 x W26 cm.
  • Oil on tablet, Luigi Locatelli. Painted tablet by Luigi Locatelli, depicting mother with child on a fence, signed lower right. No frame. Locatelli Luigi (known as Bigì) (Bergamo 1904-1983) after his first training with his father, he enrolled at the Carrara Academy. Before the age of twenty he starts working for the Milan gallery owner Zecchini. In the 1930s he moved to Paris where he became friends with the great Italian artists who lived in the French capital. After about ten years he returns to Italy settling in Bologna where he works as a restorer. Period: 1934 Measurements: H 41 x L 33 cm
