  • Beautiful example of the engraved map of Nicolas Sanson d'Abbeville from 1655 on the Algerian coast of North Africa. Nicolas Sanson (1600-1667), sometimes called Nicolas Sanson d'Abbeville or Sanson d'Abbeville, was the most important French cartographer of the 17th century. Tooley called Sanson "the founder of the French school of cartography". He started making cards at the end of 1620, and in 1630 he worked with Melchior Tavernier. Subsequently, Sanson worked in concert with the publisher Pierre Mariette, with whom he published his great atlas: general maps of all parts of the world (1658). After Sanson's death in 1667, his son Guillaume ran the business in collaboration with Alexis Hubert Jaillot. Guillaume has established himself as a full-fledged very important French cartographer.   • George Lilanga (Kikwetu, 1934 - Dar es Salaam, 2005) was a Tanzanian painter and sculptor. Trained at the pictorial school of tingatinga in Dar es Salaam, he is also known internationally for his peculiar pictorial style, characterized by brightly colored figures and sharp, highly dynamic and caricatured contours. The work is in excellent condition in a frame with glass, below the author's signature and on the back an inscription in Swaili language.   • "Ponte dal Vigo, Canal Vena, Chioggia" - Oil on canvas by Angelo Brombo (1893-1962), dating back to the 1940s / 1950s. Signed on the lower right. BROMBO ANGELO. Born in Chioggia on January 5, 1893, he moved to Venice. He participated in the exhibitions in Venice Rome, Turin, Naples and other minor ones, from the Veneto region, with flattering success, and also in Rome in 1926 at the Mostra d'Arte Marinara, in Milan the following year, at the Primavera; in Bologna, Como, Rovigo; again in Rome; in Milan at the Mostra Peschereccia in 1939, where he obtained the gold medal of the Ministry of Agriculture. He has held solo shows in many Italian cities, receiving praise from the public and flattering judgments from critics for his personal, moving evidence in the marine theme. He has many works in private collections and among them: Polichromie chioggiotte (Conte Molini collection of Venice), Sails, Vita chioggiotta, La riva dei Rigattieri, Gray days, Shopping on board, Campo del Duomo (Pennasilico collection). Other works in public collections: The Mausoleum of Diocletian in Split (Capitoline Museum in Rome), Ruins of Nona (Collez. Comunale di Perugia), La Vela (Municipality of Cavarzere).
